Fumé Bistro... The Hidden Gem of the Napa Valley
Located along Highway 29, Fumé is tucked off a side road which you would only take to get into some Napa neighborhoods. It has been a long time favorite among locals. When sitting at the bar during happy hour, I'm willing to bet almost every person in there is a regular, or at the very least, a local. Who knows, you very well may be sipping a wine with the winemaker sitting right next to you.
On Mondays they have $5.55 burger night which is a huge hit. You have to get there early to get a spot at the bar which is the only area of the restaurant they offer this awesome deal. I'm not sure where else your'e going to get a home-made burger with all the fixins' AND fries for under $6, so of course it gets BUSY. The rest of the week (Tues-Sun) Happy hour food offerings include a $5 Margahreta Pizza which is wood fired, and excellent. Drinks all week during happy hour are $5 glasses of wine and bubbles, as well as $3.50 beer and well drinks, which are pretty good quality alcohol for a well option. Their well whisky is Jack Daniels for example. Also note most restaurants do not offer happy hour on the weekends, Fume does.
. Another favorite time to come to Fume is on the Weekends for Brunch. Many places in Napa I admittedly find overpriced, especially for breakfast. Fume however has excellent breakfast and lunch options available, all for a reasonable price. When the weather is good sitting on the patio is a must. PLUS they are super dog friendly! They even offer a "doggy menu" including everything from bacon to a juicy steak! Brunch and dogs being my two favorite things I am in HEAVEN at fume. Larger parties will want to make a reservation, how ever parties of 4 or under I have been lucky enough to walk in. If you don't have much time, save yourself the trouble and make a rezzy.
+Note: Brunch is only served Saturday and Sunday
+Happy Hour: Everyday 4pm-6pm
